Chocolate & Cherry Sourdough

We loaded this one up with Guittard 74% bittersweet chocolate and cocoa powder. We also added butter to make the crumb soft and velvety. Then to balance out the bitter notes from the dark chocolate, we added dried tart cherries to bring out that delicious sourdough tang.

Think of this loaf like you would an artisan coffee. It has roasted flavors from the crust caramelizing on the floor of the deck oven, bitter notes from the dark chocolate, and fruity notes from you guessed it, the fruit! You can enjoy this bread for breakfast in place of your favorite pastry, or indulge yourself for a delicious slice of toast for dessert.
